For 18 months, the two teams from Romania and Portugal worked together to turn an idea into reality: an educational program designed for single parents, focused on emotional support and non-formal methods.

Thoughtful coordination—from planning and transnational communication to outreach, recruitment, and evaluation—was key to achieving the project’s three core goals: developing an accessible educational program, supporting single parents in strengthening their socio-emotional skills and training facilitators involved in the process.

The results are already visible:
- The platform www.step-plus.com, which hosts the full course, project details, partner profiles, photo documentation, and a resource section with free access to all outputs.
- A 12-chapter theoretical course, available in Romanian, Portuguese, and English, offering conceptual overviews, guided reflections, practical examples, and video explanations. It is accessible via the “Course” section.
- A practical guide available for free in 3 languages, with 70 activities for specialists working with groups of parents, available on the ”Resources” page.
- An study showing clear impact of the program, also available for free on the ”Resources” page.
We’ve captured the journey in a short visual summary of the project’s path—available now as a PDF with highlights, photos, and key moments from implementation.
