On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the online conference “The challenges of single parenthood” for disseminating the results of the S.T.E.P. project – Single-parent Training and Empowerment Program – took place in Portugal, organized by Cultiv – Associação de Ideias para a Cultura e Cidadania from Portugal.
During the conference, the organization presented:
- The objectives and activities of the S.T.E.P. project;
- How the four online theoretical modules were designed and implemented;
- How the practical workshops were carried out in Portugal (Samora Correia, Porto, Mafra);
- How efficient was the implementation of the program, both in Romania and Portugal, according to our internal study;
- Challenges and lessons learned from working with this vulnerable group;
- Testimonies from parents that participated on the program;
- A special guest talked about the challenges of being a single parent.
In addition to presenting the entire trajectory of the project so far, the Portuguese organizers had the opportunity to have Diana Magadli attending the conference (her work can be seen on her Instagram account), with an important and exciting communication about support networks.
